There is something for everyone and all are welcome!
Messiah also connects with college-age students, whether they are away at school or studying here in Vancouver. If you fall into this category, please let us know your address. You never know when a surprise might end up in your mailbox!
The confirmation program is for students entering grades 6–8 (students who are entering 9th grade, but not yet confirmed will participate in high school activities). If you are in grades 6–8 and are not part of the confirmation program, but would like to be, please contact Jessica Potts at
All students (whether enrolled in confirmation or not) are welcome at all activities and classes. Check the church calendar for upcoming fun activities. Scholarships are always available when needed to offset the cost of any youth event. Please contact Jessica Potts at

Messiah’s choir is an all-ages non-auditioned choir; the only requirements are a love of music and a love of learning! We meet to challenge our voices and musical ability in a fun, supportive environment that welcomes all levels of experience. Singing in choir is a wonderful way to connect with friends and community, experience the presence of God in music, and offer that experience to the congregation in bi-weekly anthems.
Rehearsals: Thursday 6-7pm, Hazel Dell sanctuary
The praise band leads our Messiah North worship service at 9am every Sunday at Windy Hills Winery in Ridgefield. This is an auditioned group where beginners can grow and experienced musicians can continue to hone their skills.
Rehearsals: Thursdays 7-8:30pm, Hazel Dell sanctuary
If you’re not sure what a handbell is or if you’ve rung them all your life, Messiah’s handbell choir welcomes you! Beginners will learn the basics of reading music and bell technique in a relaxed and encouraging rehearsal atmosphere. We perform easy-to-intermediate music periodically throughout the year and for special services like Christmas and Easter.
Rehearsals: Thursdays 6:00pm, Hazel Dell music room
Special music doesn’t always need a special occasion – we are always looking for special music during worship services! An accompanist will be provided.
Are you a whiz with soundboards, cameras, or streaming technology? Have you always wanted to learn how to mix sound for a band? Are you not sure what that means, but you’re looking for a way to get involved? Messiah is always looking for A/V volunteers to help run our technology during worship services. Training will be provided on sound mixing, soundboard and camera operation, and running the livestream.
Thanks for an awesome VBS 2025! Look for info on Vacation Bible School 2026 coming soon!
