Highlights from the March Church Leadership Team Meeting:

Approved a change in worship start time from 9:00 AM to 8:30 AM for Messiah North. This was necessitated by a change at the Windy Hills Winery venue. (An exhaustive search has not yielded another venue for Sunday morning.)

Agreed to put the addition of a youth representative to the Church Leadership Team to a vote at the next congregational meeting. This person would be under age 23 and serve a one year appointed term. 

Reviewed the findings of the new "Building and Facilities" Team, consisting of Beth Adams, Rick Backous, Jorge Torres, Angela Gajer and Pastor David. We determined that we need to bundle some projects to minimize overhead costs. Randy L. offered to look into the most efficient way to do this.

Noted that Messiah will host the Synod Education Gathering on May 30. These gatherings are held in even-numbered years instead of the Synod Assembly. The keynote speaker will be Grace Pomeroy of Luther Seminary. She is the author of a book titled, "Funding Forward".

Approved a change in the Bookkeeper job description to eliminate the duty of bank reconciliations. The Treasurer will complete that task.

Reviewed and approved, with minor edits, a new Memorial Pamphlet. This will be very helpful for families and staff when planning memorial services.
