Beginning this Sunday, June 29, our sermons will focus on some of the daily themes from our upcoming Vacation Bible School program. The overarching theme of VBS this year is "True North" and it's an arctic setting. Similar to the program we will look at how it is easy to lose sight of what is true in the world today and when we trust Jesus to be our "True North" it is much easier to navigate. Each Sunday we will meet a few of our Bible Buddies that the kids will meet during VBS to help remember the lesson for each day.

"When we need help, we trust Jesus." Sometimes everything we have to carry is too heavy for us alone and we need someone who is there for us to help. God gives us the right tools for any situation. Today we will meet Bruce the Moose and Juneau the Husky.

"When we wonder, we can trust Jesus." We don't have to have all the right answers, it is ok to wonder. Even if our wondering makes us nervous, Jesus is there to help calm our hearts. Today we meet Ponder the Otter.
July 13
"When we feel powerless, we can trust Jesus." When life feels out of control and like we don't have power over anything, God promises that God is in control and that we can trust Jesus. Today we meet Kody the Bear.

"When we feel alone, we can trust Jesus." People are truly valued and seen by Jesus. We can trust that God will help us even when we can't see God. Today, Laurie Rickett will present our message using materials from "Godly Play." This is the material we use during the school year with our elementary age siblings and it helps us make meaning through story, wonder and play. Today we meet Klawdia the King Crab and Earnest the Bald Eagle.
