The following items are those that are requested by the Ridgefield Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank for May:

    • Cans of Chili
    • Cans of Spaghetti Sauce
    • Packages of Spaghetti
    • Cold Cereal
    • Macaroni and Cheese
    • Top Ramen
    • Boxed dinners such as Hamburger Helper, Rice-a-Roni, etc
    • Mustard, Ketchup, and Mayonnaise
    • Paper Towels and Toilet Paper (These are optional, but much appreciated.)

Any other additional food items that you wish to donate are also most welcome. Food will be collected  and placed around the altar on May 24th, and food bags may be left by the Food on the 4th Cupboard in the narthex at any time during the month.  

Thank you for your continued generosity which is making a difference in the lives of others. During the month of April, 790 pounds of food were collected!

 

You may leave bags of food by the Food on the 4th cupboard in the narthex at anytime during the month, and food will be placed around the altar at worship services on on the 4th Sunday of each month. The sorting and distributing of the food will be on Monday after the 4th Sunday at 8:30 AM in the narthex. You are always welcome to come and help with the sorting! Both of the food banks that we serve, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Lewis River Mobile Food Bank, continue to express their gratitude for the generosity of Messiah Congregation! So far in 2025, 3,023 pounds of food have been donated to the two food banks that we serve!
