March Food on the Fourth Requests
The items listed below are the items that are most needed at the Ridgefield Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank.
- Cans of pork and/or Spam
- Cans of Tomato Sauce
- One can meals (chili with meat, ravioli, spaghettios, stew, pork-n-beans etc.)
- Box Meals (Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, Rice-a-roni etc.)
- Canned Fruits of all kinds
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Condiments of all kinds: mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and relish
- Boxes of jello
Of course, any other food items that you wish to donate are gratefully received!
Food bags are available throughout the month at the Food on the Fourth cupboard in the narthex, and the date for the collection of food will be Sunday, March 22nd. The sorting and distribution of the collected items will be on Monday, March 23rd at 8:30 AM in the narthex, and anyone who is interested in helping is invited to attend. Thank you for your continued generous support of this ministry! In February, 556 pounds of food were donated to the Lewis River Mobile Food Bank.
You may leave bags of food by the Food on the 4th cupboard in the narthex at anytime during the month, and food will be placed around the altar at worship services on on the 4th Sunday of each month. The sorting and distributing of the food will be on Monday after the 4th Sunday at 8:30 AM in the narthex. You are always welcome to come and help with the sorting! Both of the food banks that we serve, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Lewis River Mobile Food Bank, continue to express their gratitude for the generosity of Messiah Congregation! So far in 2025, 3,023 pounds of food have been donated to the two food banks that we serve!
