Tuesdays at 6:00a | Wednesdays at 7:00p | Facilitated by Pastoral Intern Taran & Pr. Peter | 7-week study begins June 2 & 3
The Tuesday Morning Prayer Breakfast Group and Wednesday Adult Class groups requested a summer read that would be "light and fun." This request comes following the groups' two deeper dives with Dialogues on Race and The Cost of Discipleship. As an easier read, but still rich in content … (drum roll please) … Intern Pr. Taran and Pr. Peter will lead a reading of Seculosity by David Zahl.
In an editorial review from The Washington Times, David Ignatius states, "Zahl's wise, funny book ranges from high culture to low, from Jane Austen to World Wide Wrestling, from Karl Friedrich Nietzsche to Donkey Kong to expose the false gods of the 'seculosity' that dominate our age. His message is subtle but straightforward: slow down and open yourself to the indescribable, inexorable mystery of God's grace."
The reading schedule is below. Please order your copies now! Both groups will begin their study and conversation the first week of June. This is a perfect time to join either group! If you'd like to join or invite a friend, please email
The book is available via Kindle, hardcover, paperback, or Audiobook formats. Click here.
