Philippine House Build Update

An update from Tom Zimmer on progress towards funding a house for Nana Yolly and Jaypee in the Philippines:

Messiah Lutheran community, we have come a long way in three short weeks and are halfway toward reaching our goal of $15,000, with about three weeks to go before the builder will ask for final payment!

Thank you to those who have prayed and or contributed to the funding of the house for Nana Yolly and Jaypee (one half of a duplex). Both actions are making a positive difference. Here are a few picture updates. The walls are up. The roof is on. They're going to start installing the doors and electrical panels this week.

Through connections with Pastor David and the ELCA, I was able to connect with Roger and Annabella, who live in Manila. They drove three hours south to visit Nana and Jaypee to confirm that everything with the house is going as planned. I also made a direct connection with the builder and have deposited more than $5000 into his bank account for supplies.

There are three weeks left, and $7500 is still needed to finish the house. Two main options are available for you to donate.
Checks can be made out to Messiah Lutheran Church with "Philippine house build" in the memo.
Go online and select To Give in the upper right-hand corner of the Messiah Lutheran website.

Nana and Jaypee are beyond grateful and appreciative for each and every contribution. Let's finish strong for them. Thank you!
