Neighborhood Dinner Ministry Takes Shape. You can help.

Please share this opportunity with both those who might benefit by receiving a weekly dinner or assisting the ministry.

An outreach to those experiencing food insecurity in our own backyards | Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? - Mt. 25:37b

Messiah's local benevolence team, the Seeds of Faith, is creating a program to help our local neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Once per week, the goal is to provide a bag of food with all the ingredients for a stick-to-your-ribs main course meal. The bags will also include a jug of milk and a box of cereal. Our neighbors will call the office to sign up for a month of dinner bags. They may sign up for additional bags a month at a time. We hope the program will run through the end of May, and if needed and if financing is available, the Seeds of Faith team will evaluate the program continuing.

Here is how you can help. If you know someone who could benefit from participating, please give them the church office number, 360.574.7081, and hours, Monday–Thursday from 9am to noon. Callers may also leave a voicemail at any time. Second, if you are interested in shopping for the program one time per month, please call Janet Borst at 360.573.6220 or send her an email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
