Midweek Lenten opportunities at Messiah

Beginning February 25, Messiah will host weekly worship and service opportunities on Wednesdays during Lent.

Beginning February 25:

5:15 pm: Soup suppers in the lower level dining hall
6pm: Classic Holden Evening Prayer in the Sanctuary
5:45pm-6:30pm: Godly Play 5:45-6:30
6:30pm: Lenten service project

The first weeks of service projects will be devoted to the Community Service Initiatives of the winners of Miss Clark County.

The February 25 project will work with May Dearing, Miss Clark County. Her community service initiative is HELP — Healing, Empowerment, Liberation, and Protection.

Miss Clark County - May Dearing, writes:
My name is May Dearing, Miss Clark County 2026, and my Community Service Initiative, HELP, focuses on human trafficking awareness and supporting survivors of domestic violence. I chose this initiative because these issues deeply affect our community in Washington and because someone I care about has been personally impacted by domestic violence. I believe everyone deserves safety, dignity, and freedom from abuse. As part of this work, I am partnering with a YWCA shelter in Vancouver to create wellness boxes for women who have been displaced while escaping domestic violence. These boxes provide self-care and comfort items to support healing and remind survivors that they are not alone.
