The Church Leadership Team (CLT) is pleased to announce that Jessica Potts has accepted an additional staff role at Messiah as Director of Finance and Operations. She takes on this new responsibility alongside her work as Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
This new position was deemed critical to freeing the pastors of some administrative tasks and reflects the CLT's work to reorganize staffing for the future. Jessica's new role will focus on coordinating, maintaining, and facilitating a team support system that enables clergy, staff, and church members to implement church mission and programs. Jessica will have oversight of the congregation's business affairs and provide management and support in personnel, finance, technology, property, and facility management. The new position is currently part-time and will be combined with—what will now be—Jessica's part-time youth work for a combined FTE of 1.0.
The Leadership team thanks Janet Borst for her interim bookkeeping work this year. Janet's last day is December 11. Please join us in thanking her for her assistance during this time of transition.
