In the second quarter, the Endowment Committee granted four requests from the money earned on the Endowment Fund:

- Two "easy access chairs" (tall chairs) will be ordered that match the ones already in the sanctuary. The four we currently have are not enough for those who need them.
- The Messiah Quilters received money to purchase batting for quilts they are making for Lutheran World Relief.
- The Preschool will be able to purchase a new dryer as the existing one has stopped working.
- $5000 has been added to the church's Capital Reserve Fund which will be used in the future as needed for unexpected capital needs.

The next time proposals for monetary grants will be considered by the Endowment Committee will be at the end of third quarter.

The last date to submit a grant request will be August 27. The Committee will meet a week later and what we approve needs to be approved by the Church Leadership Team at their meeting in early September.
