End-of-life planning series concludes this weekend - 05.01.22

Session Topic: After Death Planning
Everyone welcome. Pre-registration is helpful, but not required.

Pastoral Intern Katie Hendrikson has collaborated with local experts to create a three-part series that covers numerous topics surrounding end-of-life planning. Each session will be held at Messiah's Hazel Dell campus and will take place on Sundays at 11:30am following worship (see schedule below). Experts will be on hand to share their knowledge, walk you through processes, and answer any questions you may have. Refreshments will be provided! Sunday, March 13th: Financial Preparation and Planning with Pia Meyer

  • Participants will engage in conversation with Edward Jones Financial Advisor Pia Meyer and will learn the process to get financials in order to ensure a smooth transition should a death occur. Come with questions!

Sunday, April 3rd: Advanced Care Planning with End of Life Coalition of Southwest WA

  • What exactly is Advanced Care Planning? Who should have a Health Care Directive? The End of Life Coalition of Southwest WA will answer these questions and more! Participants will have the opportunity to complete their own Health Care Directive and learn about other aspects of Advanced Care Planning.

Sunday, May 1st: After Death Planning with Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home

  • Where does one begin after the death of a loved one? Experts from Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home will be on hand to discuss various options for the care of loved ones after their death. Topics will cover options for remains and planning memorial services.
