ELCA World Hunger Appeal gets personal at Messiah

Messiah author and illustrator Kathy Hoffman has a new book. Pick up a signed copy at church for $20, and Kathy will give 100% of your "donation" to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal. Plus, your gift will be matched.

Kathy Hoffman has been a member of Messiah since 2016. During her Covid year, she wrote and compiled an autobiographical collection of anecdotes, each with a humorous twist over the last 35 years. The stories include episodes from her life at Messiah.

Kathy is donating all the proceeds from her book distribution to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal, which a generous benefactor will match. As a result, when you purchase your book directly from Kathy, the entire $20 you pay will be a donation that supports the ELCA's World Hunger Appeal at a $40 level.

Kathy will be available before and after Sunday services at the Hazel Dell campus on April 24 and May 1. Get a signed copy, several laughs when you read the book, and know that you participated in the effort to alleviate world hunger.
