Director Charles invites the congregation into an interesting ministry opportunity

Charles Reinmuth and the choir invites the whole congregation to engage in a new experiment: Let's plan worship music together! Whether you're a natural Mozart or you simply tap your foot to tunes you know and love, your presence and input at this special event is most welcomed and encouraged. This experiment will take place via Zoom. Charles, Messiah's Director of Worship and Music, will guide the process which involves:

Reading the scripture texts for the following Sunday
Meditating on the word of God
Discerning and discovering themes that reflect how God might be speaking to God's people today
Brainstorming music and lyrics that highlight and evoke similar themes
Prayerfully come to a selection of songs for Sunday's worship

This exercise will result in the plan for worship which Charles will use the Sunday following. This "people's choice" worship service will contain music that reflects the very hearts of the people of this community and, indeed, the people of God. You do not have to read music, you do not have to be an expert, and you don't need to have any musical experience! In fact, this community needs--and will benefit from--YOUR valuable input!
