CLT Meeting Recap for November

Approved change in membership status for newly confirmed members Madeleine Anderholt, Emily Nemnich and Claire Raymond.

Approved an HVAC maintenance contract for the multiple aging HVAC systems at the Hazel Dell facility.

Approved a new bid for cross replacement in Hazel Dell. A new vendor was found who can provide "like kind and quality".Doug R. applied for an Endowment Grant to cover the increase in cost from what was previously approved.

Reviewed staffing needs and progress to date with hiring. Laurie S. needed to move up her retirement date. Tori B. will fill in until at least December. Rachel G. has been screening applicants for the new Business Administrator role created to help fill Jessica P.'s absence. There are several promising candidates. Interviews will be held soon. It was noted Lindsay Raymond is doing great in the new bookkeeping position. It was very helpful to have her on board before Jessica P's retirement date.

We give thanks for the blessing Jessica Potts has been to our congregation, and we wish her all the best in retirement.

Reviewed the various Hazel Dell building maintenance needs. The good news is the source of the water problem in the basement is a clog that can be removed as needed once or twice a year for a fee of approximately $600. (As opposed to digging up the drain line running under cement.)

The other potential good news is the county may take care of the buckling sidewalk on the east side. We are in talks with them about what they will provide. (The trees causing the buckling need to be removed.)

Efforts continue to update the IT and AV systems at Hazel Dell. Bids are still pending, but progress is being made!

Treasurer, Mark R., noted giving is down a little, but spending has been down as well. Financial Secretary, Doug R., noted pledges are down a small percentage also. Stewardship campaign letters go out next week.

It was noted attendance is growing at both locations.
