May Church Leadership Team Recap
We started by electing new officers. Randy Legler will serve as president, Shari Backous as vice president and Marcie Dahlin as secretary. Thank you to everyone who agreed to be considered for these positions. Mark Roskopf and Doug Ruecker also agreed to be reappointed as Treasurer and Financial Secretary. We thank them for their continued service.
Pastor David shared that he has been diagnosed with kidney cancer and will begin treatment immediately. His outlook is very positive, but both David and Robyn will likely need coverage at some point in the treatment process.
Reviewed and approved the agenda and budget to be presented at the semi-annual meeting. It was noted the Finance Committee chose to dip into some reserves in order to avoid any staffing or programming cuts. The expectation is that financial giving will begin to increase as membership grows and becomes established.
Reviewed a new Wedding Packet presented by our business administrator, Angela Gajer. It was very well designed and thought out! We noted an increase in requests for weddings.
Reviewed the quarterly preschool report. Enrollment for next year is slightly behind last year's pace, but interest is ticking up. The preschool will be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary in 2027. A celebration is in the early planning stages.
It was noted we still need to recruit volunteers for the Financial Review this July.
We continue to follow up on the Building Task Force recommendations, including:
IT/AV upgrades; siding replacement; cross replacement (this month), tree removal, and parking lot repairs.

I have had the pleasure of serving the last year on the CLT with Brenda Gardner as President. Her commitment and love of our church is evident through her service. I want to thank her for her service to our community and will do my best to fill her shoes.
