Charles Reinmuth resigns to take new position in Spokane

Charles' final day at Messiah will be January 31, 2022

The Church Leadership Team (CLT) and pastors were saddened to receive a letter of resignation from Charles Reinmuth at their monthly meeting last Tuesday (12.07.2021). Charles has accepted the position of Worship Coordinator at St. Luke Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Spokane. If you're already wondering, yes, this is the congregation now served by Messiah's former pastoral intern Taran Denning ('19-'20). Taran serves as its Associate Pastor.

Charles grew up at Messiah, his family coming to the congregation when he was two years old in 1999. He was confirmed as an adolescent, married as an adult, and took his first full-time music position at Messiah. The last began January 1, 2020. He attended Pacific Lutheran University on an organ performance scholarship, having first learned the instrument and being tutored in contemporary music piano accompaniment during his teenage years by his predecessor at Messiah, David Teeter.

The CLT, pastors, and staff wish Charles and Katie the very best as they transition to St. Luke and the Spokane area. We recognize with sadness and joy that Messiah continues to share its influence and resources in fulfilling the congregation's vision to serve the Church as a teaching and learning congregation.
