Assistance with Memorial Services is needed

by Julie Bracken, Minister of Welcome

Updated July 14, 2021:

I am totally amazed at the outpouring of help.

I thought it would be a problem filling the slots I had.

As of this afternoon I only need helpers for the following:
July 20 Harold Teters 2 people needed

July 26 Carl Ahrens 1 person needed
Other people who would like to help are invited to bring cookies for any of the receptions.

We need lots of cookies. Batches of 4 dozen cookies would be great.

They can be dropped off at church during office hours, M-Th 9-12. Or they can be brought early to the services.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help.

Messiah is truly a giving community.

Due to the pandemic, many grieving families delayed memorial services until the time when restrictions were lifted. That time has come. During the last two weeks of July, the Messiah community will host five memorial services.

Messiah is well-known for being a caring community to families who have lost loved ones, providing services and receptions at the church for family members and their guests. So, I ask for your help at what is turning out to be an extraordinary time.

Below is a list of the services with receptions at church. I need batches of 4-dozen cookies, salads for the luncheons and help with set-up, serving, and clean-up. If you can assist with any of these receptions, please email me, Julie Bracken or call me at 360-573-6220. Your quick reply is appreciated. And "thank you" for considering volunteering as a gift to these families and friends.
