February Food Requests 2026
The Lewis River Mobile Food Bank is asking for a number of items that will help re-stock their shelves. Our collection of these items will be Sunday February 22nd although bags of food may be left by the cupboard in the narthex any time during the month.
- Cans of Chicken
- Boxes of Cereal
- Cans of Stew
- Cans of Peaches
- Cans of Pineapple
- Cans of Asparagus
- Hamburger Helper, Pasta Helper and/or Rice-a-Roni
- Top Ramen
We will be sorting and distributing food on Monday, February 23rd at 8:30 a.m. at the church. Anyone interested in helping with this ministry is invited to attend. Please contact Lynne Radke, 360-907-2318 for more details.
In January, Messiah congregation donated 913 pounds of food which was distributed to the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank. Thank you for your generous and caring support of those in need of food in our community!
You may leave bags of food by the Food on the 4th cupboard in the narthex at anytime during the month, and food will be placed around the altar at worship services on on the 4th Sunday of each month. The sorting and distributing of the food will be on Monday after the 4th Sunday at 8:30 AM in the narthex. You are always welcome to come and help with the sorting! Both of the food banks that we serve, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Lewis River Mobile Food Bank, continue to express their gratitude for the generosity of Messiah Congregation! So far in 2025, 3,023 pounds of food have been donated to the two food banks that we serve!
