 July Food on the Fourth Requests

 

The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank in Ridgefield has requested the following foods in July to replenish their supply of food. 

 

  • Cans of Meat: chicken and pork (Spam)  They have a good supply of tuna.
  • Small cans of Soup
  • Top Ramen
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Cans of Fruit
  • Boxes of Cold Cereal
  • Oatmeal: both quick cooking and regular
  • Toilet Paper

 

You may leave bags of food by the Food on the 4th cupboard in the narthex at anytime during the month, and food will be placed around the altar at worship services on July 27th. The sorting and distributing of the food will be on Monday, July 28th at 8:30 AM in the narthex. You are always welcome to come and help with the sorting! Both of the food banks that we serve, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Lewis River Mobile Food Bank, continue to express their gratitude for the generosity of Messiah Congregation! So far this year, 3,023 pounds of food have been donated to the two food banks that we serve!
