Instruments & Handbells

Have you ever listened to handbells being played and said, "I could never do that!" I dare say that almost every handbell player has said this at one time or another, before building the courage to come to a rehearsal and find out differently! We take the time to study and understand the physical techniques needed to produce and stop the sound of the bell. We show non-musicians how to begin looking at a musical staff and understand the hidden language which produces such wonderful results. And we have great fun doing it!

Youth Ensemble (Sundays During Lent)

All youth are invited. Only requirement is that you know how to play your instrument. We will play the third Sunday after Easter.

From beginner to advanced, all are welcome.

Messiah Worship Orchestra

This year, if you play a musical instrument, or perhaps played one in high school or college and it is gathering dust... pull it out of the closet and join us Sunday mornings. We will work with any and all instrumentalists at any level of experience. Our purpose will be first of all to begin playing music in a very casual environment, building our confidence levels, practicing and preparing for possibility of performing special solo, small ensemble and full ensemble music in our worship. Lead by David Teeter, our long term goal will be to develop an orchestra that can lead our congregation on Sunday mornings.
Ages: Grade 6 to Adult
Time: Sundays 10:50a, Sept.-October 20, sanctuary.
