Children are the church at Messiah and Vacation Bible School is a huge enterprise for the whole congregation every year. No matter what time of year it is, whenever kids are part of the mix, there is no shortage of fun to be had.
A multi-generational group of high school students, college students, and adults from Messiah went to Tecate, Mexico to build simple homes for two families. They spent their nights with the boys at a local orphanage.
Sharing Your Gifts
Everyone is invited to share his or her gifts at Messiah. We strive for excellence, knowing that perfection belongs to God. Kaitlyn and Heidi are two of Messiah’s excellent worship leaders.
It’s not often that 540 people gather to celebrate and remember one man’s life, but the Messiah community did for Freeman Cockram. With candles raised and voices that would not be silenced in grief, this community celebrated Christ’s victory over sin, death, and the devil.
Part of the magic of Messiah is the inter-generational nature of many of its ministries. This college student had as much fun leading his group of VBS campers as the kids did participating in the weeklong experience.
