Dear People of Messiah Lutheran Church,

Kathy and I were overwhelmed by the week of amazing send-off events at Messiah North, Brewed Theology, and culminating program and reception at the Hazel Dell campus. We were awestruck by the kind words, thoughtful cards, wonderful displays, generous gifts, tears of laughter and joy, and super-secret planning. What a feat! We had no idea. 

Amid this final week, so many conversations and written messages were shared with us, recounting special moments over the past 28 years. We will treasure the extraordinary memory book you gave us for years to come.

The scale of the farewell and the number of volunteers to have made it happen is not lost on us. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in putting it together.

We end our call at Messiah with joy in our hearts and immense gratitude to God for bringing us together.
