One Mile Mission


Messiah Lutheran Church is passionate about serving students and the local community. The congregation's One Mile Mission initiative is a vision that every child from birth-18 living or attending school within one mile of both of Messiah's campuses has everything that they need to learn. Messiah has formed partnerships with the local schools to live out this vision. Mission initiatives have included:

2015: Middle school to Nez Perce Reservation in Idaho; High school to Idaho Servant Adventures
2013: Multi-generational relief for Hurricane Sandy in New York; Middle School to Nez Perce Reservation in Idaho
2012: Rebuilding following floods in Minot, North Dakota
2009–10: Middle school to Yakama Indian Reservation
2007–08: Build & Cultural Immersion in Puerto Rico/Habitat Build in New Orleans
