I'd have to say it was when I was in 7th grade. Things were challenging at home, and I was going to a small school that I didn't want to attend. The two girls I hung out with were dealing with some difficult situations, and they came to me for direction. That's when I knew I must be doing something right, maybe even being a little bit of Jesus to them. Not judging, but just being there for support. I truly felt that God put me there to help them.
Once Upon a Time is probably my most recent series favorite. I loved seeing how they combined the stories of fairy tale characters into one storyline. The first few seasons were the best.
Seaside, Oregon. For our high school senior trip, we rented a house with a view of the ocean. We could see whales popping up out of the water to feed. I've always been a fan of whales, and have always been amazed at their enormous size.
The power to fly. I'd especially love to fly over the ocean and watch the whales. Watching animals in their natural habitat is always enjoyable. I'd like to be able to watch animals from all around the world for an extended amount of time and from a safe distance.
I see evidence of God in all that surrounds us. The miracle of life, the beauty of nature, and the complexity of it all. There are many difficult situations that I've been in that ended up for the best. They would not have it weren't for God.
The church community is important to me because it's a place where you can come together with others who share your same values, where you can combine talents and resources to make a difference in the lives of others. It's a place without judgment where you can grow stronger in faith and relationships.
