Tuesday Morning Small Group studying Luke’s Gospel - Newcomers welcome!

New study began October 23 |

In preparation for the year of Luke gospel readings during worship that begins in December, the Tuesday Morning Prayer Breakfast Small Group is starting a new 8-session read-through of the Gospel of Luke on October 23. No study guides, no commentaries, no outside experts, the group will simply read and reflect on three chapters of Luke each week. The reading schedule is below.

It's a perfect time to jump in, try it on, and discover how once-a-week Bible study can enhance your spiritual health and make Tuesdays one of the best days of your week.

The Gospel of Luke uniquely contains some of the favorite stories and parables in all the Bible—the Good Samaritan, the Lost Sheep, and the Prodigal Son to name a few. It is known for Jesus' many encounters with the poor and marginalized. Luke is also notable for the way he references and integrates the stories women¬ into his narrative.

The Tuesday morning small group meets at 6:00a at Panera Bread on Highway 99 in Hazel Dell. Facilitated by Pr. Peter, each session begins with prayer and ends when the first participant must leave for work, usually around 7:05-7:10a. Newcomers and guests may pop in any week. For first-time guests, breakfast is on Pr. Peter!
