Hometown - Sacramento, CA |
Major - German Studies |
Graduation - Spring 2021

Hello! My name is Ruby Lindgren, and I am incredibly excited to be joining your church family this summer! I am originally from Sacramento, California, where I grew up in the loving arms of St. John's Lutheran Church. Two years ago I moved to Oregon, to study German at the University of Portland. This school gave me the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Salzburg, Austria, where I currently reside. UP, as a Catholic institution, also helped me to more deeply explore my faith, and sparked my interest in ecumenical ministry. I love traveling, having deep conversations, and heartily enjoy any book I can get my hands on. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I very much look forward to meeting you all in person!

Major - Business Human Resources and Management
Graduation - Spring 2020

Hello Messiah! My name is Riley Reed and I will be one of your interns this summer! I am very excited to have this opportunity to look into the possibilities of where God may be calling me in life. I am originally from Harlowton, Montana, and now I live in Tacoma, Washington. I am a Junior at Pacific Lutheran University majoring in Business with concentrations in Human Resources and Management. I am also working towards a minor in Sociology. I know that after graduation I want to work in ministry in some capacity, whether for an organization like the ELCA within its administrative structure or to take a step towards seminary where I can train to be a pastor for a congregation.

When I'm not at class at PLU, I can usually be found in the Campus Ministry office working on our newest retreat, event, or project. I am both a member of University Congregation, and part of their leadership team, so that takes up a lot of my free time. I am also the Activities Director for a local youth group called Connect, and I have so much fun planning games and events for our members every week. Another fun fact about me is that I worked at a summer camp in North Dakota called Upper Missouri Ministries for the last two summers, so if anyone wants to swap camp stories, I would love that! In my free time, I love to be hiking, kayaking, skiing, or pretty much anything involving the outdoors. I also love to curl up with a good book and a strong cup of coffee. I am looking forward to being a part of your community this summer and am excited about this opportunity!
