Greg Rhodes is Moving to China

In October 2016, Greg Rhodes joined the Messiah community as the North Country Project Manager. This move was made with the intention of a new building being built for our worshipping community gathering in Ridgefield.

With Greg's leadership, he helped lead Messiah through an extensive discernment process about the future of not only North County but Messiah as a whole. Greg said it became evident early on that (as one former pastoral intern put it) "Enough concrete has been poured in the name of Christ."

The discernment process led Messiah away from the idea of a new building and instead, asking questions around the changing church...which ultimately led to the congregation's bold and faithful decision to hire a mission developer to continue pushing us to engage our community even more!

Messiah is grateful for Greg's leadership and guidance over the last 22 months and wish him the best on his new adventure. Greg's wife, Heidi, recently accepted a position to teach high school math in China.

We will celebrate Greg's final day on July 15 at Messiah's North Campus following the 10:00am service.
