2070 pounds of food, along with soap, toothpaste, and other incidentals were collected during the month of December for the Lewis River Mobile Food Bank. This is a new record for a one month collection! The Lewis River Food Bank thanks you for your support. All has been greatly appreciated.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors in Ridgefield will be the recipients for our January collection. The collection will be the weekend of January 25/26. They have requested several items that currently are in short supply: Canned fruits and vegetables (the #1 request); Tuna; One can meals such as chili, ravioli, spaghettios stew etc.; Boxed meals: Hamburger Helper, Rice-a-Roni, potatoes (scalloped, au gratin etc.); Macaroni and cheese, pasta; Optional: toilet paper, soaps of all kinds, toothpaste, deodorants, hand lotion (These are all items that are not covered by food stamps.). Monetary gifts are also helpful in allowing the food bank to purchase needed items. Bring it on!
