Why is Messiah Lutheran Preschool important to you?

We moved to Washington because my husband who is a Marine got stationed in Portland, Oregon. With no family or friends in the area, Messiah Preschool brought love and friendship into my daughters’ lives and to mine. And I am grateful every day for the love and support that Messiah gives to all of our children.

What is a fun fact that few people know about you?

I went to Horse Camp where I won first place in a riding competition. I actually learned how to do everything from grooming horses to riding and even doing stunts on horseback.

What is the best vacation place you have ever been to?

Paradise Point resort in San Diego! I celebrated my 30th birthday there with my whole family and have so many great memories of that trip and our crazy paddle boarding adventure.

If you could sit down with anyone in the world for coffee, who would it be?

My sisters Stephanie and Heather. They are truly my best friends. We all live in different states now and I miss them all the time.

What is something that made you laugh in your classroom?

Our students make me laugh every single day. They are so innocent and completely honest that sometimes they say the funniest things with no filter.

What is something you have learned about yourself or your faith from your students?

Children love so purely and unconditionally and being with them is a daily reminder to me of God’s unconditional love and all the blessings that we have because of his love.
