What was an important Jesus moment in your life?

I don't have one particular moment in my life, but too many to list. I know one had to be meeting my parents the first day of my life as a preemie and surviving with the love of God, family, and wonderful nurses who doted on me. Others include becoming a mother myself each of three times; witnessing those moments of watching my children become beautiful human beings; my wedding day at home; loving and saying goodbye to too many loved pets; growing my garden; goofing off; having fun; and sharing dreams with family and friends.

What is the best vacation place you've ever been to?

Road trips from my childhood to ongoing are always memorable. The comfort level does not matter as long as you get where you're going. Camping, fresh air, long walks, and food cooked outside are part of them. My parents' home is a favorite. The time I had with my grandparents is cherished. Oh, I should add the special trip to Australia's Outback.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation. To visit with my family and friends far away and still be back in time to do all my mom stuff. My trips would include: projects with mom, flying with dad, a long run on a beach, spending time with the kids in fun places, and a quiet lunch with my husband on a deserted isle.

If you could sit down with anyone in the world for coffee, who would it be?

My parents and Stephen Hawking. Getting minds together like theirs would be amazing and/or dangerous :)

What's the most trouble you've ever been in?

No comment and don't ask my brother because he'll tell. Tattle tale!

Why is the church community important to you?

I'm a strong believer that it begins at home through our own examples and the examples of those we keep close. The community at Messiah shows others in and outside the walls of the church that they are loved.

Why Messiah?

Believe it or not our beginnings with Messiah came from old fashioned "spend time with your kid" Cub Scout meetings. We were fortunate enough to have a wonderful den leader for our son. Through his, his wife's and son's example, friendship and love, we not only have gained a great friendship, but also a connection to Messiah for which we are thankful.
