Thank you so much for completing the Parent Feedback Forms and for sharing your thoughts regarding a return to in-person preschool. The majority of you expressed an interest in returning to the classroom in January. Both the Preschool Advisory Board and the church's leadership have reviewed the parent feedback as well as the preschool's reopening plan and fully support its reopening in January.
With reduced enrollment and limited staff, Messiah plans to offer a modified class schedule. We understand that the classes we are able to offer may not be what families registered their child for, but it's the best we can provide under the current circumstances. Should enrollment increase, we may be able to revise our class schedule.
For now, our hope is to run two Pre-k classes, one Beginner class, and a virtual program:
1. Mon/Tues/Wed A.M. Pre-k (4's) class taught by Mrs. KariLynn Bogart and Mrs. Krista Stein
2. Mon/Tues/Wed A.M. Pre-k (4's) class taught by Mrs. Tina Van Buskirk and Miss Cheyenne
3. Thurs/Fri A.M. Beginner (3's) class taught by Miss Cheyenne and Mrs. Krista Stein
4. Virtual Preschool (on a month-to-month basis)--Separate classes for 2's, 3's and 4's--same format as fall virtual programming
Parents who indicated on their Parent Feedback Form that their child would return to the classroom in January, or that they are interested in virtual preschool, will receive an email within the next few days with more specific classroom information and a request to confirm their child's commitment to the program. If you indicated your child would not be returning in-person in January and you have changed your mind, please email me by Dec. 23. Those who do not return in-person in January will maintain a spot on the waitlist for when they are ready to return.
If you have any questions, please contact me. I will be checking email regularly throughout December.
