Music Ministries

Choir

Messiah’s choir is an all-ages non-auditioned choir; the only requirements are a love of music and a love of learning! We meet to challenge our voices and musical ability in a fun, supportive environment that welcomes all levels of experience. Singing in choir is a wonderful way to connect with friends and community, experience the presence of God in music, and offer that experience to the congregation in bi-weekly anthems.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays 7-8:30pm, Hazel Dell sanctuary

Contemporary Worship Band

The praise band leads our Messiah North worship service at 9am every Sunday at Windy Hills Winery in Ridgefield. This is an auditioned group where beginners can grow and experienced musicians can continue to hone their skills. If you are interested in singing or playing the guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or other instruments, please contact Maria Kramer at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for audition information.

Rehearsals: Thursdays 7-8:30pm, Hazel Dell sanctuary

Handbells

If you’re not sure what a handbell is or if you’ve rung them all your life, Messiah’s handbell choir welcomes you! Beginners will learn the basics of reading music and bell technique in a relaxed and encouraging rehearsal atmosphere. We perform easy-to-intermediate music periodically throughout the year and for special services like Christmas and Easter.

Rehearsals: Mondays 6:30pm, Hazel Dell music room

Solo & Special Music

Special music doesn’t always need a special occasion – we are always looking for special music during worship services! An accompanist will be provided. If you have a piece of music you would like to share, or if you are interested in starting an ensemble, contact Maria Kramer at This email address is being protected from spambots. Audio/Video/Technology

Are you a whiz with soundboards, cameras, or streaming technology? Have you always wanted to learn how to mix sound for a band? Are you not sure what that means, but you’re looking for a way to get involved? Messiah is always looking for A/V volunteers to help run our technology during worship services. Training will be provided on sound mixing, soundboard and camera operation, and running the livestream.Contact Maria Kramer at This email address is being protected from spambots.
