Leonardo da Vinci said, "Wisdom is the daughter of experience." Saint Augustine wrote, "Patience is the companion of wisdom." And Homer Simpson said, "I think the saddest day of my life was when I realized I could beat my dad at most things. And Bart [Homer's son] experienced that at the age of 4." At this Brewed Theology, we will share some of the good, the bad, and the ugly of our parent-child relationships and trust that nuggets of wisdom will emerge for all of us. The conversation will happen in the context of the grace-filled relationship we have with our heavenly parent, who never tires of recognizing us as broken, yet beautiful, children.
The moniker for all Brewed Theology events is "What church looks like." As we continue to discover where God is working ahead of us outside the walls of the church, Intern Ryan and I encourage you to consider this and all BT events as opportunities for authentic connection to the Messiah community and to the Messiah. Please invite a guest, or two, or three!Featured Panelists ... the list is growing!

- Rick Backous and Erica Nemnich and Kelly Goodman (father and adult daughters)

This will be our second visit to Fly Boy Brewing off of E. Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver. We have the entire pub reserved for both the afternoon and evening iterations of this event. You are welcome and encouraged to arrive early or stay late to order hor d'oeuvres or dinner. We have the pub from 3-10pm. See the menu. We also need to hit a minimum total in receipts for the day, so splurge a little. Plentiful off street parking is available right in front of the pub.Preparatory Homework
Intern Pr. Ryan and I will send the links to preparatory homework in a separate email to the address you use to register. These links will go out 7 or so days in advance of the event. Please share the links with each person for whom you register.Cover Charge Amount - $2/person
Full Disclosure. We use the cover charge to pay guest speakers a small honorarium, cover their food and beverages, as well as pay for room deposits and rentals. Thank you for your investment.
