What was an important Jesus moment in your life?
The birth of my baby boy, Everett. There's no denying how incredible God is when you have a kiddo to call your own. With just my husband and me and our newborn baby in the hospital, Christmas 2014 was the most moving Jesus moment in my life. I have been so blessed. Plus, my pregnancy felt like torture, so I was glad Everett was ready to come out!
What is your favorite TV show and why?
Blue Bloods! I love the family dynamic. They're so close and no matter what they go through during the week, they come back at the end of each episode to have Sunday dinner together.
If you could sit down with anyone in the world for coffee, who would it be?
My sister! She lives in Rhode Island and even though we talk on the phone daily, it's between talking to our kids in the background and running errands. There's never enough time to see and chat with your best friend.
What's one of the dumbest things you've ever done?
I sang Fergalicious at an extremely popular karaoke place in front of a couple hundred. It was a real life nightmare.
What do you like best about working for Jesus and his people?
Watching these kiddos as they "wonder" about Jesus' stories. It's incredible to see and hear them make connections that most people (including myself) don't make until late adulthood.
Being such an intergenerational congregation, Messiah proves to be a fantastic church for all ages, and happily welcomes everyone. It's certainly a church worth bragging about!
